The Washington Wolves
divide their practices and home games between two rinks in
order to make the club as accessible as possible to players
across the Washington Metropolitan area. Rockville Blades
and Wheaton Ice Rink are both rinks are
close to major highways.

Rockville Blades in
Rockville, Maryland is a two-rink indoor facility with a decent
pro shop, game room, and snack bar.
From the Capital
Beltway/I-495 (Use these directions when coming from Baltimore,
Philadelphia, Delaware, New York City, and also Richmond and
parts south):
Take I-495 to I-270 North. Get
into the “Local Lanes.” Then take exit 4A - Montrose Rd.
Bear left at the split and take the ramp for Tower Oaks Blvd. At
the light at the end of the ramp, take a left onto Tower Oaks
Blvd. At the first light, take a right onto Wootton Parkway.
Stay on this road as it curves around (you will go through the
intersections of MD 355/Rockville Pike and Viers Mill Rd.). Take
a left onto East Gude Dr. (there will be a light with two left
turn lanes). At the 3rd light, take a right onto Southlawn Ln.
(there will be an Exxon Station at the corner). Follow this
along, staying to the right and take a right onto Southlawn Ct
(look for the rink sign). The rink is at the top of the hill
(this is an industrial park).
From I-270 South (Frederick
and other parts north):
Take I-270 South towards
Washington. Take Exit 9B for I-370 East. Exit for Rockville –
Shady Grove Rd. East (left at the light). Right on MD 355 South
(Frederick Rd.). Left onto East Gude Dr. Left onto Southlawn Ln.
(Lane (there will be an Exxon Station at the corner). Follow
this along, staying to the right and take a right onto Southlawn
Ct (look for the rink sign). The rink is at the top of the hill
(this is an industrial park).

The Wheaton Ice Arena in Wheaton, Maryland includes a
semi-enclosed rink we use for practices and a brand new, beautiful
indoor rink, with a small pro shop and snack bar, which we use for
games.
From the Capital Beltway/I-495:
Take exit 29 (MD 193/University
Ave.) West in the direction of Wheaton. Follow 193 through Rt. 29/Colesville
Rd. and continue until you pass a school on the righthand side.
Get into the right turn lane and turn right at the light onto
Arcola Ave. Follow Arcola until you reach Orebaugh Ave. (It will
be the first right after Arcola becomes a two-lane street. There
will be a wooden sign with white lettering for the ice rink at the
corner). Take a right and follow Orebaugh into the park. Drive
past the baseball fields. The indoor rink is up the hill directly
in front. To get to the outdoor rink, go left at the indoor rink
and it will be down on the lefthand side.
